My wife and I want to set up an amazing hovercraft transport service. It will be the first and will have a huge impact on tourists who come to see all the natural wonders Suriname has to offer. With this unique service we can transport our clients to places other transporters cannot, and with the luxury and safety no one can offer.
The infrastructure is all set to go. We have resorts, hotels, businesses who await our service, but we cannot get a loan from any bank. We have made verbal agreements with 2 eco resorts who will use our service ounce we are operational.
We have done 2 years of research into this venture and are very confident that it will work and have a permanent place in Suriname. We are hard working people and are going to put in more that a 100% effort to make it succeed and to keep it running.

We are unique on the market. I am a qualified hovercraft operator with license.
We offer an exciting, rollercoaster-like ride that is unparalleled. Our craft is very versatile and much faster than the average river boat.
Ecologically seen, the hovercraft very nature friendly, as it floats on the water surface no damage occurs to the underwater flora and fauna. The craft produces only 70-80 db of noise .
And due to minimum contact with the water surface almost no waves are caused to break the riverbanks.
We have researched our competitors, but compared to the service and the product we will provide, we are unique.
The local water taxis provide transport to and from a location with low regard to passenger safety. The boats are mostly wooden canoes and lack the comfort we offer.
We have noticed that in the past 3 years we see a positive growth in the economy, especially in the tourism sector. If you check the statistics on Lonely Planet.com you will see that Suriname is booming in the Tourist branch and 2011 is going to be very good, regardless of political situations.
This will certainly have a positive impact for us, because we can gather more customers. According to the IMF, economic growth is rising.
Our business plan is ready and has been reviewed by local banks who like the concept, however they do not except a hovercraft as collateral. For the first 2 years we want to establish ourselves and then we want to expand, seeing how eco tourism is growing in Suriname. We also have a new concept for a eco- dome vacation resort, this is a cheap and almost self sustaining eco-village project for which we would need approx. $1.3m to start, this plan is not yet finished.
We intend to add another craft to our company or a tour boat.
