Secret Cellar Ltd. (The Company) supplies a “Wine by the Glass” programme to the hospitality and retail trade, primarily to customers in ROI. The Company was established in 2009 by Peter Donnelly.
Peter founded the business as a result of spotting a gap in the market for ready to use wine dispensing and preservation unit which would store wines at the correct temperature, and dispense with a preset volume measure of wine thereby increasing their shelf life, help increase sales, and reduce waste while further maximising profits for the customer.
The company is also currently trialling a “Try before You Buy” concept whereby retailers and off-licences could give their consumers the chance to taste a wine before making the decision to purchase. This would save the retail customer the cost of additional staff to run in-store tastings and allow the store the opportunity to up-sell, while enhancing the final consumers buying experience.
The Wine Cabinets are manufactured by the Company in Ireland. With component parts sourced from Ireland, UK & the US.
